B1 Reading Pen
Entry-level OID 3.0 reading pen in a friendly cartoon-bear housing, built on the SONIX 95303 platform with a large child-friendly tip, built-in TF storage, simple two-button operation and a 450 mAh rechargeable battery. A default choice for preschool gift sets, audio book bundles and private-label retail; OEM colors, logo printing and preloaded audio available.
The B1 Reading Pen is our entry-level OID 3.0 model in a friendly cartoon-bear housing, purpose-built for preschool children and for the distributors, publishers and brand owners who serve them. It pairs proven SONIX 95303 electronics with a chunky large pen tip, simple two-button operation and a soft rounded body that young children can hold with confidence. In the industry these devices are also widely called talking pens.
Because the program, audio and languages are loaded onto the pen's built-in TF storage, the B1 works out of the box with your OID-printed books, cards and posters — no app, no WiFi and no account required. It is the model we most often quote first for gift box sets, bundled audio-book series and private-label retail programs.

OEM customization on the B1
The B1 uses existing production tooling, so customization starts at much lower volumes than a brand-new housing project:
- Custom colors — plastic compound matched to your Pantone plaque on the same glossy finish (matte finishing is available on other models such as the K7).
- Logo and branding — pad printing on the housing and custom-printed gift boxes, manuals and inserts.
- Audio and languages — your recordings preloaded onto the internal TF card; we also help coordinate audio mastering and OID print files.
- Book and card sets — OID printing for board books, paperback books, posters, maps and flashcards, bundled with the pen as a finished set.
- Hardware adjustments — battery size, button count and storage configuration can move within the SONIX 95303 family; compare the four-button B2 and slimmer small-tip Q6 (Tulip).
See OEM vs ODM reading pen customization options for how color runs, logo work, packaging and new tooling are quoted.

Frequently asked questions
Can the B1 be sold with our own books?
Yes. Your books are printed with OID codes and the matching audio files are preloaded onto the pen's internal TF card before shipment. The pen then plays your content offline — no app or internet connection is needed.
What is the difference between the B1 and the B2?
Both use the SONIX 95303 chip, large tip, OID 3.0 and a 450 mAh battery. The B1 has two front buttons and the bear housing; the B2 has four front buttons for projects that need more direct playback or volume controls on the pen.
Can the bear design and colors be customized?
Colors, logo printing and packaging can be customized on the existing tooling. Changing the bear character or housing shape requires new tooling under an ODM project — tell us your annual volume and we will recommend the lower-cost route.
Does it support multiple languages?
The pen itself is language-neutral: it plays whatever audio content you load, so English, Spanish, Arabic, French, Russian and bilingual or multi-title programs are all supported.
Should we choose OID 3.0 or OID 2.0?
Most new programs start on OID 3.0 for its denser code layout and faster recognition. If you are extending an existing OID 2.0 book library, read the OID 2.0 vs OID 3.0 buying guide or send us a sample page for compatibility advice.
